Back in 1162, a baby ruler was born. He would have been a future ruler of Mongolia. His name was Temujin, the descendant of Yesugei the Brave. When Temujin was nine, his father was poisoned to death by Merkit warriors. These Merkit warriors were a close rival tribe to Temujin's father. At age thirteen, Temujin was engaged to a young woman named Bortei. Two years later, Temujin accompanied by his brother sent off to kill their step-brother for spying on their tribe for the Tanguts. Years after the assassination of Temujin's step-brother, Temujin was found and captured by the Tanguts. Two days before his execution, he escaped the Tangut tribe. Immediately after he came back to his tribe, he proposed to Bortei.
In 1180, the Merkit tribe raided Temujin's camp. During the raid, Temujin left his wife. Later in two months, Temujin organizes a raid to save Bortei, which is successful. A man as great as Temujin did many things from 1181-1183 from strong armies, to winning many battles. Because of these accomplishments, he was given the tilte "Genghis Khan", or Invincible Ruler. On of Genghis greatest conquest was to move westward to the three major empires which made up China. They were the Xi Xia, Qin, and the Na-Chung. Genghis Khan overthrew Jamuga's army which only had 50 men and half of Xi Xia's army. He later defeated Togrul's army, which was also another half of Xi Xia's army. In 1204, Genghis Khan was leaded to the Qin Empire by the Naimans, a tribe of mercenaries. With the help of the Naimans, the Qin Empire stand no chance against the Mongolians. Genghis Khan's title grew to be Khan of Khans, or ruler of rulers of China. Xi Xia refused to be controlled by Mongolians, that they became their own empire once more. But of how weak the Xi Xia were, Mongolians had a easy battle, conquering them again.
